I am very pleased to offer this very exceptionally beautiful collection of 25 LAPKIN/BANQUET SIZED (24" x 24") IRISH LINEN DAMASK NAPKINS in a variety of MAGNIFICENT PATTERNS. These are vintage napkins in a very large 24" X 24" size - napkins for use in the most elegant and formal of settings. The napkins are woven silky linen damask with a selvege on one side and a fine hemmed edge on the other. They all feature exquisite variations on intricate patterns (including roses, pansies, petunias and ferns) with exquisite ribboned, garlanded and scrolled detail - with ornate centers and borders extending across the greater part of the napkin. I love to restore antique linens - to bring them back to their soft and elegant original state. I have spent the past two weeks soaking, starching and ironing these napkins and I can assure you that they are in EXCELLENT CONDITION. The Holiday Season is upon us and I assembled this lot because it is impossible to put together a matching set of more than 12 napkins - but these napkins are uniform in size, and will add elegance to your dining table. Irish linen damask is a lost art - you will not find the likes of these napkins in your local department store (oh no, no, no!).
