This limited edition, mid-century decanter by Italy was created for a cherry wine brand by the liquor company 'Luxardo.' The bottom of the decanter is a rock-style formation in clear glass. The base is an Alabastro art glass duck standing as if poised for flight. The hand-blown duck is masterfully rendered with a green body which subtly fades into semi-opaque white at the wings. This decanter would be a great addition to a glass Murano collection. It is quite heavy. The "Duck" is slightly under 10 inches tall. The total height is slightly under 15 inches. Pieces of the original cork is in the decanter. Please review the pictures for a fine idea of the beauty of this glass. Also note that one wing has been repaired. The original label is not available. However, if you are familiar with Mr. Seguso's works of art, you will know that this is an original. This piece is circa 1950. Mr. Seguso died in 1999.
