Vintage James Swan Auger Bit Set Mint These bits were manufactured by the James Swan Tool Co. of Seymour, Connecticut , which existed from 1877-1951. There are 13 bits numbered from 4 to 16 in 16ths of an inch. They are in mint condition with no rust. Only four or five had any evidence of wood chips still on the bits. The box is in good condition with one small defect as shown in the pictures. From all appearances they are essentially brand new which would make them a great addition to a museum or private tool collection.
