Up for bid is a Beautiful glass Japanese fishing float. The float measures 38 inches in Circumference, that is with the net. Probably close to 36-37 inches without the net but I did not want to remove the netting AT ALL... I figured it would be best to leave that on since alot of collectors like them that way. The Japanese glass fishing float is l ight blue /green in color. I've seen these before but not at all this large. This was found off the Oregon Coast line. A Little something about glass fishing floats: Japanese glass fishing floats were used by fisherman in many parts of the world to keep their nets afloat. Large groups of fishnets strung together, sometimes 50 miles long , we set adrift in the ocean and supported near the surface by hollow glass balls. These glass fishing floats are no longer being used and are now replaced with plastic , aluminum and styrofoam. This Japanese Glass Fishing Float is in great shape! No nicks or cracks.Insurance on this item is optional at $4.60 (covers $200.01 -$300.00)The item will be shipped with in 3 buisness days once payment is cleared.
