I recently purchased several wonderful vintage tea sets from an estate auction. The Japanese made tea sets are wonderfully crafted and display a personality in addition to their usefulness. I will be listing several of these sets this week on ebay. Please take a moment and view all my auctions this week for the entire selection. The auction is for a wonderful vintage tea set made in Japan. This tea set is figural in the likeness of black cats. The set consists of the tea pot, creamer and open sugar bowl. The three piece black cat set has a wonderful personality which can be seen in the etched and hand painted faces. The cats have green eyes and red bowties. The tea pot set is in excellent condition with no breaks, chips, or cracks. Marked on bottom with "product of Japan, Shafford." A great vintage tea pot set that would make a fine addition to your vintage tea sets of Japanese ware.
