Vintage Japanese Kutani Sake Whistling Decanter Cups Up for auction is a beautiful vintage Japanese, Kutani Sake Decanter and Six Cups, mint in the original box. Each piece is accented with gold gilded images and designs. The decanter has an applied, gold gilded bird at the top with a small opening at it's side. When the Sake is poured from the decanter, it will make a whistling sound. The decanter measures; 6-1/8" tall to the top of the spout x approx. 2-1/2" in diameter. T are six cups that measure; 1-3/8" tall x 2-1/16" across the top and what's interesting is that each cup has a small opening at the side. I'm not sure the cups are also supposed to whistle? The bottom of the decanter and cups are stamped in red with a Kutani mark but I was not able to identify the manufacturer. The pieces are in mint condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs and look as though they were never even used. Please pay within� 4 days of auction close.
