This vintage Japanese Tobikuchi (fireman's pick) was made of hand forged tempered iron over 90 years ago by a master Japanese tool maker. It has been well used yet well loved and represents a period of craftsmanship which is seldom seen today. The 63" (160 cm) red oak handle has an unusual curve (see pictures)(either by design or extended use) and is still super strong with a warm aged patina. The forged iron pick remains in fine condition with a dark aged patina. It weighs in at over three pounds (total weight). You'll love it, I guarantee it.........
