Vintage Jerome Massier Vallauris France French Art Pottery Vase Hand Painted Description A NTIQUE CIRCA early 1950's DOUBLE SIGNED JEROME MASSIER QUALITY ART POTTERY VASE This is a lovely old piece of French art pottery made by Jerome Massier of the famous Massier family of potters in Vallauris, France. The vase is decorated with cameo, black on a orange, salmon background. It looks like a desert, with cactus, etc. It is hand-signed on the side "J. Massier" and stamped on the bottom "Massier, Vallauris France." It is approx. 5" high and is in good vintage condition with a couple chips, around the rim. And one rough spot on the side in the orange paint (PLEASE see pictures). It also appears that someone may have purchased it in Aruba in 1955 (as they inscribed their name and date on the bottom in crayon or something red. Please see all pictures and ask questions early.
