This auction is for 1 Vintage Johnson Fare Box that is in very good original condition and is complete with the coin box. The glass on the one side of the box does have a crack in it. The rest of the glass is fine. The lever to dump the coins works fine also. The Fare Box is 29" high and is 9" square. It has a brass front door and has been wired to light, like it would when it was in use. I showed this in one of the pictures. The coin box is in very good original condition also and it has a brass lid. Inside the coin box t is a chain with a lock block on it to keep from locking the box closed. I do not have any keys for the Fare Box or the Coin Box. I'am not sure of the age but would guess the 1930's or 40's. I do remember these on the city busses in the early 1950's when I was just a boy and I think it was taller than I was.I'am sure this would clean up very well and would make a great table or lamp or just a conversation piece. Please e-mail any questions. Will accept Money Orders, Checks, or PayPal. Buyer would pay actual shipping on about 55 pounds. The buyer can pick it up in Mansfield, Ohio and save shipping cost also. I DO NOT charge a handling fee. I have or will have other train pieces along with other items on ebay and can combine shipping also.
