Vintage Juliana Book Piece Peacock with Watermelon Rhinestones in Pink and Green Tones - FABULOUS! This is a book piece, noted on page 138 of The Art of Juliana Jewelry by Katerina Musetti. This piece has a large watermelon tourmaline center with dazzling layer of aurora borealis chatons and two tiered wing fans ranging in flashing colors of hot pink beneath peridot greens. This brooch measures 2 3/8" x 2 1/2". When I purchased this brooch the dealer told me it had been soldered, glued and repaired where the first tier meets the send tier on the wing portion. I have worn this for several years and have never had a problem with this. This piece is tight and does not show the repair from the top. I have tried to view from the side and can see on small solder portion. The center watermelon section does show some slight wear when viewed closely. I am pricing this very low for this piece as this piece is not pristine and does have 2 flaws as noted above. This is still a WOW pin and has many years of life left in this.
