Exceptional natural Ruby set in classic Art Nouveau 14K White Gold. T is meticulous attention to detail in the fine intricate filigree craftsmanship that holds this superb fiery gem. The Gold perfectly sets off the red of the Ruby. This ring is in very good condition. Very little wear of the Gold. The perfectly cut round Ruby is red to light purple in color with VS clarity. Inclusions (normal) show up under loupe inspection and not really noticeable to the naked eye. No cracks or chipping of stone. It is in exceptionally good condition. The faceting really catches the light. Please see close-ups of the stone. Most pictures were taken in natural lighting. W you see a lighter almost pink/purple color is from the flash on the camera or back lighting I used to show open-backed depth. In any light, this Ruby is dazzling and very flashy. I bought this at an estate sale and am unsure of the precise age, but from the little wear, it was well taken care of. A few small but unnoticeable scratches in the Gold. Size of the Ruby is approximately 4/16 inch (6.35mm) in diameter. The carat weight is a substantial 1.2 carats. The weight of the ring is 2 grams. It is an easily resizeable size 6. The ring rides an approximate 3/16 inch above the finger (see side view). I have had this piece professionally hand cleaned, buffed, and polished.
