I found this going through my mom's things. The clock keeps perfect time and the bird moves back & forth. I have not figured out how to set the alarm to see if it works. It is a wind up at the bottom. You can hear the clock tick back and forth as the bird moves but it is pretty quiet. The large holder that holds the bird cage has tape all the way across the base on the bottom. I am not sure why the tape is t T is also some tape residue on the large holder at the top w the bird cage slips on. The bird cage is in good shape but needs some cleaning. The bird cage has three feet pedestals to w it can stand alone without the large holder. On the bottom of the clock is "Kaiser G.M.B.H. Vileingin Germany Jewels Unadjusted" My husband & I package items as we would want them packaged for us, however insurance is always recommended as we are not responsible for lost or damaged items once the item is mailed. From Pet/Smoke Free Home - Multiple shipping discounts ! Pay Pal preferred. Money Orders that can be cashed at USPS, Walmart, CVS stores are O.K. also. Check my other items for sale!
