This vintage railroad kerosene lantern is available for auction. It is an E J & E Railroad lantern probably from the 1920-30's (due to the history of the previous owner). It is about 16 1/2" tall with the handle up. The base is about 6" in diameter. The top of the lantern is imprinted with "The Adams & Westlake Co. 'ADLAKE' Reliable New York Chicago Phila"."E.J.&E. Ry" is imprinted on the lower level of the top with some patent dates ranging from 1897 to 1913. The glass of the lantern has "L & N RR" on it. The railroad lantern is in fair/good condition. The metal parts of the lantern are not bent or missing, however the metal is very rusted. The glass has no cracks or chips. The part that turns up the wick for the light works, but there is no wick in the lantern. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thanks for your interest in this railroad lantern.
