He was a well known designer.It has state of the art designs in the blade and the handle.This is a rare opportunity to be able to have one of KAI JAPAN's designs. In a world renowned KERSHAW made in the U.S.A. What more could you ask for. The blade features 1040 carbon steel . Handle is made of hard wood. Has pins,liners and bolsters of brass .The handle and bolsters designed to fit your hand ,for a sure grip.The lockback design is to insure the blade stays open until you close it . The knife is tight, it opens with a snap sound and closes with the same spring snap sound.It has a lot of life left in the spring. The knifes condition is great.The handle has no scrapes or scratches. The blade's in great shape.What a rare find. A very unique opportunity to pick up on a very fine KERSHAW with the designers name etched in the blade KAI JAPAN a world renowned knife designer ! He was one of the best ! KERSHAW made in the U.S.A. KERSHAW OREGON, U.S.A. by KAI JAPAN. is etched into the blade. It has 1040 etched into the blade as well.W the blade opens from the back of the handle,it is still very tight.The seam is almost invisable.. This is a very rare find indeed ! You can be proud to own a unique knife such as this kershaw. The blade has no ware. If you haven't taken a good L@@K at the pictures,please exsamine them carefully.This would make a very treasured gift for a family member or friend who collects.they will be certain to know what a rare find this is.They are difficult to find anymore. A brand name "Kershaw" knife with a designer like "Kai Japan"can take a lot of searching to find.If you found another one it would be rare.To find one in this condition it would be even more rare! I'm sorry for not adding this from the start. I do not have the origain leater sheath for this Kershaw knife. But, I do have one ( leather ) sheath that will come along with it the Kershaw Let me ad that I didn't have it cleaned for some collectors would rather get it the product in their origanal form it was found in.They would rather do the cleaning. That way they know t's nothing that's been done to inhance the iten in any way. Also, I believe that the blade should read 1040 high carbon stainless steel blade.
