This vintage garment was truly a stunning kimono before the gold and/or silver threads began to unravel from the black velvet fabric. There is a male/female pair of peacocks, pine trees and lotus flowers. Some of the designs can be saved intact but a greater percentage of the kimonos design"s usefullness is to harvest the threads ( couching thread made by wrapping silk thread with a gold or silver covered paper). The peacocks have glass eyes, but the couching is coming apart and separating from the garment. There are many loose threads and the kimono is being "sold as is." The red lining is unsalvageable. Length is 68" and weighs unpacked 7 pounds. Shipping insurance charge of $ 1.74 is added to base shipping rate as a handling fee.
