Vintage Knights of Pythias Regalia "Senator" Robe We acquired this at an Estate Auction along with many other fraternal regalia helmets , costumes, & accessories. The items were found in the attic of the lodge. Most of the items were from the early days of the Knights of Pythias (NH Olive Branch No. 6) however some could be Masonic or Odd Fellows. This robe was worn by one of the Senators during one of the rituals. We estimate this to be circa 1930s/40's Layered Tunic Robe is made of heavy gray fabric has a black satin cord design on the bottom, sleeve, and along the top. The tunic portion fastens in the front with 5 snap closures and it has a gatd attached cape/sash that covers some of the tunic that drapes over one shoulder. (note: tunic only has one sleeve, the cape drapes over the other shoulder in place of the sleeve). The inside is lined with a gray muslin type material. T is a label inside "The C. E. Ward Co., New London, Ohio," and also a white tag "Senator". Laying flat the tunic robe measures 25" across the chest from under arm to under arm seam.(chest 48-50) The length from the back neck to bottom of tunic is 34", length from back neck to bottom of the cape that covers the tunic is 56" long. In great vintage condition, the snap that attaches the cape in the back has seperated from the fabric and needs reattaching. T read more
