Folks, back in October I ask one of our associates to look for vintage molas. It was a risky decision because once you direct someone to look for something in Panama it is the same as committing to buy whatever they come up with. Price is open and understood that it will be negotiated. But this time it was a big success because I was really pleased with the vintage molas she came up with. I'm so pleased that I'm opening a Vintage Mola Category in the store. In the mola business vintage simply means old because molas are not dated. But it is easy to identify molas of age because of fading, color changes and the softness of the material from washings. The reason I wanted old molas is that I get numerous requests for them. It's my bet that for every request t are three or four other folks out t that would like old molas. Particularly the Textile Museums. So this is the rolling out of the OLDIES BUT GOLDIES.
