Offered for auction is this vintage LaCross corn razor. I came across these razors in box lot that I purchased at an estate auction. I don’t know much about straight razors or the correct names for the different parts so bare with me. Feel free to ask questions and I’ll answer to the best of my ability. The corn razor comes in the original box. It is marked on one side of the arm of the blade: Schnefel Bros. USA, and on the other side: LaCross with a cross emblem. It measures 3 ¾ in. long when closed and 5 1/8 in. long when extended all the open. The widest part of the blade measures 3/8 in. wide. I believe that the handle/case is ivory colored celluloid and you can see a faint lined design in it. The box shows wear and scuffs but is intact. I didn’t find any cracks in the celluloid but it does still need some cleaning up.
Payment should be made within 7 days. As per the new Ebay rules, they will only allow me to accept Paypal payments. Please make sure your shipping address is confirmed with Paypal.Shipping cost is to be paid by the buyer. I charge actual shipping plus $1.00 handling. Sometimes depending on the weight when the item is actually boxed for shipping it may vary slightly up or down. USPS, FedEx, and UPS rates are continually going up which I can't do anything about so please don't judge MY shipping rates high and lower my star rating for something beyond my control. The same is true with shipping time - if I ship your package within 1-4 days but it takes 2 weeks to be delivered that is also beyond my control as I do not have access as to how it's being handled by USPS, FedEx, or UPS. Your purchase will be shipped within 1-4 business days after receiving payment but packages are usually shipped within 48 hours. Small items will be shipped through USPS but I've found it less expensive for larger items to use either UPS or FedEx depending on your location, weight, & size. Insurance is included with FedEx/UPS in the shipping cost for up to $100.00 and an will cost an additional $1.80 for up to $200.00. Insurance is available for an additional cost on USPS and is highly recommended for loss or damage especially on fragile items. The post office rates are $1.70 for up to $50.00 in value, $2.15 for $50.01-100.00, $2.60 for $100.01-$200.00 value. Although I pack extremely careful, I cannot control how the package is handled once it leaves my hands. I'm happy to combine shipping whenever possible. I won't combine items that I feel will not ship safely together which will need to be decided on a per sale basis. Example: fragile glass item with a large cast iron piece. A reminder will be sent if I've had no contact from you in 3 days. If payment is not received within 7 days and t has been no other communication from you, I'll send one more reminder. If t is still no response, a non-paying bidder process will be started through ebay so that I can get my seller fees back and be able to relist the item. All items are sold as is and sales are final unless I've accidentally misrepresented the item or overlooked a defect on the item. Only then will I accept a return which at the buyer's expense must reach me within 7 days. If t is a problem once you receive your item, please contact me through Ebay messages (I always look t first) and hopefully we can work it out. Most of the items I sell are gently used or vintage/antique but I sell a wide variety of other items as well. T are bound to be imperfections which I try to catch but... nobody's perfect. I always try to include everything I'd want to know if I were buying the item such as size, color & imperfections. Please read the descriptions carefully but if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to check out my other auctions!
