This store is a collection of vintage perfume bottles from the estate of Marie-Louise Fredyma, my mother who passed away in 2010 after nearly 70 years in the antique business. Marie's perfumes were a special place in her collection of antiques and vintage items and are now offered for sale as part of her estate. Description: Vintage 1920's R. Lalique Liquor Set with Stemglasses and Decanter. Set consists of 9 large size stemglasses which are signed "R. Lalique France" on base. Large Decanter with stopper signed "R. Lalique " on bottom. Provenance: This set belong to Marie-Louise Fredyma's mother Louise Fromm, whom lived in New York from 1900-1967 and was purchased in the 1930's from the Park Avenue Gallaries in New York. Background R. Lalique: Rene Lalique was born a rural 19th century man in a pre-industrialized Europe. It was a time before light bulbs, and telephones, before automobiles and washing machines and electricity. But by the time of his death in 1945 at the dawn of the atomic age, he would have completed two careers spanning two different centuries.
