Vintage lamp very unusual with two I think spider monkey's hugging, I think they are almost lifesize and do look real, the lamp stands about 11 1/2in. high and was more than likley made in Germany although t are no marks on it, I have no idea what the motto on the front means I'm sure someone will know it reads as you can see "Good Luck Sugie" it's in good condition and looks almost like something Copenhagen would have made, the monkey's eyes light up when the lamp is lit, and yes it does work well, if you collect monkey's of just like unusual lamps it's a great one. If you have any questions you can e.mail me direct at ( ) PLEASE DO NOT PAY ME UNTIL I SEND YOU AN INVOICE, I find it impossible to correctly give you an exact cost on the shipping charges especially out of the country until I see w the item is going and how much it sells for to correctly adjust the shipping and insurance charges to comply with paypals shipping rules. The prices you have received prier to the sale of my item are completely hypothetical and I tend to be losing money on most of the items I ship trying to comply with them. You are welcome to pick up your item and save shipping charges should you want to.
