Vintage Large Italian Pottery Terra Cotta Sun Tile. The brightly colored tile is decorated with a smiling, red lipped center sun on an off-white ground. The sun has curled rays. Surrounding the sun are aqua swirls of color. Included in the design are three red pear-shapes. The tile is trimmed with yellow. The tile surface is not perfectly flat -- slightly raised surface (feels very smooth). The reverse side is rough with scattered pieces of pottery --rustic. At the top is a wire loop for hanging. The tile is signed in script on the front bottom.SIZE: 14 1/2 inches high x 8 3/4 inches wide x 5/8 inch deep.CONDITION: The top surface has a spot with missed color. The outer rim has small spots with missed color. The rim has a nick. The tile has crazing. There is a spot with glue residue on the front right bottom, which I will remove.Beautiful display piece, very decorative.
