Fresh from the local Cape Cod estate we offer you this beautiful vintage large birdseye maple box with folk carved bottom. It is really great quality box with secret mitre dovetail joints. The bottom has been carved with the owl sitting on the branch and floral wreath around the scene, there are initials of the maker M.B.M. carved as well. The bottom has some scratches as shown. Overall the box is in very good condition, we are not sure what was it used for because it has unusual size, but it is clean and free of odors. It is missing the clasp on the lock.
