~We are still in the process of listing from two Estates and will have lots of vintage Corning Ware, Pyrex,Vintage and New Tupperware, Automotive Memorbilia,vintage appliances,vintage games, and vintage Fisher Price sets and Playskool sets,Visions Cookware, so please check back~ Good morning~Up for auction today is a very very old large figural brass working clock that was made in Holland~This clock mesures as follows: 24 inches long~11 inches wide~6.5 inches depth This clock bells every half hour and every hour and works like a charm~Its weight is run by two brass weights in the shape of pears, I took a picture of one and the other weight is further down in another picture. I didnt want to bother with it too much for fear of breaking it. But I do know it is working order, because we tested it. It is made from nut wood and came from my friends estate from her family and this and two other items I have listed were still wrapped up in 1958 newspaper, this has been in storage all these years until now, and it will need a good polishing and is dusty,the wood does not show it beauty because I have not cleaned for fear of breaking it. The image shown on top reveals a special meaning~The figure on left stands for belief, the figure in the middle stands for love and kindness ;) and the figure on the right stands for hope~It reads in letters "NU ELK SYN SIN". In old dutch it means " You Cant Get Everything You Want". The top stands a man carrying the world on his shoulders and the world is made of brass~The pendulum is a man on a horse and runs through time.On each side of the clock t is a piece of see through glass so you can see the mechanics of the clock while running~The facing is bright and shiny and hands are in excellent condition~This clock is complete with the door on the backside~The only tiny small flaw I see is a small piece of the wood has rubbed on the top two corners of the clock,but its very small in fact I didnt see it until this third time I looked at it. ~ We will ship it carefully and package our items well~Please feel free to email me with any questions and I will get back with you in a timely manner.
