PICTURE THIS COLLECTION!!! Wow...what a find! L-A-R-G-E piece of history from 1 Cleveland, Ohio family! I'll do my best to describe. Approximately 60 professional Portraits by La Rue, B.A. Marquard, The Webb Studio, Mitchell, Gainesboro, Schmidt and other studios. What photos you see are a small representation of the whole. Some appear to have been taken prior to 1900, but I can't verify other than by the costuming. I thought about making smaller groups, but was talked out of doing that. So, we go>>>>>>>>> Portraits & School Pictures: up to 11 X 14...no names on the front...some have limited info on the back, such as school name and date. First Communion Portraits looking to be from the 1920-s and 1930-s Individual Portraits...very early and up to the 1940-s, some military Family & Wedding Portraits...very early and up to the 1940-s 2 Portraits with the pony and a 1939 bowling banquet!!! 13-1/4" X 10-1/4" Black Album, nicely embossed horse's head in the center of the cover. Marked as 1947 & 1948. 32 glossy souvenir photos with descriptions printed in reverse white of vacation to Yellowstone Park. Around the house and vacation snapshots, including 4th of July, 1948 in New York City, then, someone's wedding in Acadia Park, Maine. 9" X 11-3/4" Brown Album with gold military insignia. 1 old Easter card from Mom. 120 snapshots of the office, family, picnic, amusement park, World War 2 G.I. soldiers in uniform, cars, Coney Isand Ferry, zoo, wedding, Niagara Falls honeymoon maybe, motorcycles, Continental Divide, Colorado and other places I don't recognize. 10" X 7" album filled with 1930 & 1940 era snapshots of boy and their buddies, outings, families and friends, old cars, families on the porch steps, 1st communion, holidays, graduation, Bill Island, Dearborn Michigan. 14 Souvenir photo cards of Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. , old airplanes, baseball game, Cincinnati Zoo, Ohio State Stadium, girl friends and others. 10" X 7" album filled with 1940-1943 snapshots of booth, holiday dress-up, Cincinnati Zoo, more neat cars, Dayton, Tennessee dam, PA Turnpike, Smokey Mountains, Gettysburg, souvenir photocards of D.C., families, friends, showing off, soldiers, barracks, train wreck, airplanes, Easter, army posts, national parks, feeding a chipmunk by car from Nebraska, newspaper wedding announcements. 7-3/4" X 5-5/16" 1940-s album. Back is green leather looking pressed paper, but the front cover IS leather! Soft and supple, it is marked as, "Snap Shots, Put-In-Bay, Ohio" and includes a rendering of Lake Erie with a sailboat and lighthouse. Contains 28 snapshots and some newspaper cutouts of a wedding and a captured soldier. Photos are soldiers with family and friends, buddies, cars, parks and monuments. Approximately 30 loose photos, some of which are booth and some are postcard style. Papers: 8-27-42 Wrestling program to benefit the Army Emergency Relief Fund 3-4,5,8-44 Souvenir Program Galapagos Baseball Championship Series 13-1/2" X 19" paper chart containing 1945 calendar, weight, measures, postal rates and other farming information, folded in four 1941 completed Form 1040A Tax form Herald Square Account Book No. 2579 with entries made for the 1950 home building, materials and permits and various permit receipts. 3 Selective Service Cards 1943 Christmas Menu from the Galapagos Islands 1944 Christmas Menu from Panama Undated Soldier's Christmas Card with photo Graduation Exercise Pamphlet, 2nd Air Force Field Training Detachment, Perry Institute, Yakima, Washington, 8-30-42 along with a training certificate and Certificate of Graduation Civil Service Commission rating form and Readjustment Allowance form 1949 hand-written letter to a friend Undated letter from employer president 9-2-47 National Constitution and By-Laws of the American Legion along with decal 6-3-21 invoice for funeral and services 2 mostly used War Ration Books Ins...
