VINTAGE ROUND FARMHOUSE BRAIDED RUG - 12' From the Estate of the Judson Dairy in the San Pasqual Valley, Escondido, California . The Judson family is one of the oldest and most respected families in the San Diego Valley, and the Judson Dairy, one of the first in the valley, and an award winning dairy. Married to Charles Judson, Gramma Rebecca lived in the beautiful white farm house on the Judson Dairy until she passed, at the wonderful age of 105. Such a beautiful place filled with so much love and so many memories. The items I am selling on behalf of the family come directly out of the farmhouse and from the farm, whether it is the garage, annex, storage shed, etc. These are not reproductions and were loving used and cared for by Gramma Rebecca. I am a friend of the family, and am helping to find new homes for some of the wonderful original items that are left behind in the farmhouse. So please be sure to check my other auctions as I will be listing pieces over the next few weeks. I am not an expert, or a dealer, and am describing the items as clearly as possible. Please ask all questions before bidding. Items are not returnable. This auction is for a Beautiful and very large Farmhouse Braided Rug. Multi colored and measuring approximately 12 feet across the center. This rug has been on the Parlour floor of the farmhouse at the Judson Dairy since mid century. I have included some close ups as we could not tell whether it was hand stitched or machine stitched together. The stitching is fairly consistent in height, but quite irregular as it was sewn around and around. Colors are beautiful. T are some places w the rows need to be restitched together, but no large holes. It is truly a thing of beauty. The picture is a little dark, so please be sure to check out the other photos I have of the rug as they came out a little better. I will be listing another, almost idential, and about 10 feet across.
