This week I am offering several handmade vintage Hopi pottery tiles that came from a prominent Albuquerque, New Mexico collection. I am relying on the meticulous records kept by the previous owner regarding age and attribution. Hopi tiles are highly collectible and will be even more collectible once pending books on them are published! Now is the time to buy them. Rectangular shaped Hopi pottery tile by Sadie Adams. Dimensions: 4 Inch x 6 1/8 inch. Penny in photo for scale. S/H/I: $7.50 ~ International Shipping Will Cost More ~ The tile is painted with rust and black geometric and parrot beak designs. Very good quality and condition on this ca. 1950 tile. T is a tape mark on the back of the tile at the top, which is residue from having been taped into a frame in the past. T also might be a firing pop in one corner at the top, which, upon close inspection, looks like it might have been touched up by the maker. No other cracks, chips, or restoration is apparent. The back is signed with Sadie Adam's five petaled flower hallmark. The number "2796" is also penciled on the back, but I don't know what that means. Reasonable reserve. SADIE ADAMS!
