This well made locket is very ornate. Made of a gold tone brass / metal with a secure hinge , it opens and closes fine. It is 2 " tall, not including the little attached loop at the top. The top center has a wonderful little embossed cupid set in the center of tall flowers that are also embossed. This disk is attached to the floral disk, and the floral disk is attached to the main oval of the front, so, the entire front of the locket is a cushioned type effect. On the side rim area is a very small opening for you to put your fingernail to pry the locket open, this is the way it was made. Once open t are sections, front and back, for you to place a momento..but, looks like the glass inserts are missing as none are present. Lovely to wear, so, no need to place momentos in it anyway. Very well made and hard to date, but, it is at least 40 years old I am sure. Because of the high relief embossed design, it was very hard to capture the true beauty of this item, so, the high bidder will be really thrilled when they receive it..it is the type item you need to hold and see in person to recognise how dear it is....offered at no reserve, to be enjoyed by one of you pout t in ebayland. >>>>>>> Please have a look at my other auctions.
