A PIECE OF HISTORY... Nice Vintage phone In like new condition. Western Electric #554 In the pics ts some sticky stuff on it because t were stickers on the phone. But I'm sure with some rubbing alchol you would wipe that clean. But t are no scratches and all plastic is in tact with no chips. It is a black phone and you will not be disappointed. It does work. T are two ring settings on the phone. It is a wall mount rotary phone. And does come with the cord which is really long also. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! CLASSIC 1959 SHINY BLACK WESTERN ELECTRIC 554 ROTARY WALL PHONE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION! FEATURES: Very shiny black! Nice chrome handset cradle! Heavy bakelite handset Nice metal dial Original 7D-3 dial with metal gears produces that distinct rotary sound that only metal gears can produce! TESTED and ready to plug in! Dials out, receives calls, and those brass bells ring like new! Soft shell case is in very good condition- no cracks, chips, or deep scratches. Shines like new! just some scuffs and light scratches mainly noticable in bright light. Extra long handset cord is in very good condition. Ready to mount near your wall phone outlet and plug it in with the line cord provided, or you can remove your wall phone outlet, mount the phone over the opening, and hard wire it with 2 wires, red and green. (that's how I did mine). This is a very heavy original Western Electric model 554, dates to 1959. It is much heavier and built better than the later ITTs, AT&Ts, etc that you see on Ebay These old classic telephones have become very popular recently, and are becoming hard to find in this condition.
