This a small enameled on sterling silver pin, missing the pin back, or pin part. It is very pretty with bright intact enamel and clearly marked sterling on the reverse as well as Lavelle Co Newtown Pennsylvania. I found out The Lavelle Co. was founded in 1940 and have mounted the pin with scotch tape to the printed out history of the company, which eventually made TELSTAR the satellite in the 1960's. I'm sure a jeweler could solder on a new pin back or you could glue on your own. It seems it would be most of interest to someone who worked in the airline industry or was related to this company. This came to me in a tin of old buttons which were mostly from the 40's and 50's.
