Thank you looking at this vintage sewing machine. I have never seen one like it. This Lawrence M. Stein co. sewing machine is quite unique. It has the needle placed sideways, possible leather machine. This is such an old sturdy piece. I have did some research and can't find anything about it. Take a look at the pictures and see what you think!!! This will add terrific to any machine collection, and will display well in any quilt room or sewing room. It is a great conversation piece. It does have paint removal through out the machine, due to age and usage. The wt. is an incredible #27.30 lbs. wow is it heavy duty. This unit measures approx. 8 1/2 " wide by 7 1/2 " tall The handle does turn moving the needle back and forth above the 2 round plates. T is a bobber holder pictured on the top of this machine. T is a thread holder in the back and the arm moves up and down for loading purposes. The plate on the top reads LAWRENCE M. STEIN CO. 815-835 W. VAN BUREN ST. CHICAGO. T is a dial on the side, possibly a tention dial to the right of the machine. I have no way of testing it and wish I had more info on it. I obtained it at an estate sale and bought it as is, the same way I am selling it. This is a great cool piece that will go great to your collection.
