Up for auction is this vintage U.S. military style leather holster for the famous 1911 pistol. This holster came from a friend who said his 1918 Remington UMC 1911 came in it off of a soldier in 1944 on the island of Lahte . He was a medic and the camp was being over ran by the enemy so the wounded soldier told the medic to take his gun and help protect the camp. He said his gun was holstered in this holster since the end of the WW2 when he came home. The back side has the company letters of A.L.P.CO . These were a popular WW2 holster used for our military. It is in very very nice condition. The second picture makes it look dark but thats because of no flash. Any questions ask first before bidding. I am starting this auction way under its value and will let the Military and gun and holster collectors determine the price. These sell for top dollar at the military and gun shows so get your bid in early . International ebay members email me first for approval for bidding. I have experienced overseas fraud and am not ready for any more. No negative feedbacks allowed on international members. Shipping is much more and to be determined before hand or after the auction. I use first class, Parcel and sometimes Priority shipping. Sometimes it works out for me to upgrade which is a bonus for you depending on w you live and weight. Yes it has the metal hooks that I think you call a belt hanger(not sure on terminology). Yes it is the real deal in U.S. 1911 Holsters. If I write anymore I will not want to sell it.
