From a rather large collection of owl memorabilia (see our other auction for another other Owl lot!) comes this real neat, vintage set of three porcelain tea service pieces made by Lego of Japan. Each is marked on the underside with the Lego legend and the unique item number. First in the lot is the larger, two piece lidded tea pot, Lego #4445. Accompanying that is the two piece accessory set, Lego #4444, containing the the lidded sugar bowl and the open topped creamer, this piece with an original Lego applique decal as well. All of the pieces look spectacular with the most miniscule of defects. We see NO flaws whatsoever to either the creamer or the sugar bowl! On the tea pot lid, t is the tiniest speck chip to the nose peak and a tiny chip to the rear, underside edge. Amazingly, the delicate protruding lip tang is completely unmarred. On the lower body piece, t is a matchhead sized chip to one toe, a chip that would be completely unnoticed with a simple dab of gloss black enamel. At the top, this piece features a "D" shaped opening into which the lip of the lid rests, to correctly position the owl's face. To the underside of this opening, we see a chip on the straight "leg" of the D. Naturally, that chip is completely hidden with the lid in place.
