This Auction is for a set of vintage genuine Librasco Kitchen Scales and Iron / Brass Weights - in very good condition. A lovely set of scales that are in excellent working order. The iron has been carefully cleaned and re-enamelled, the brass has been carefully polished. They are in full working condition and suitable for either daily use, or as a decorative addition in a well appointed kitchen. They display the original Librasco badge. Matching weights are supplied in 1lb, 8oz, 4oz, 2oz, 1oz, 1/2oz denominations. Additionally the scales can be finely adjusted to the centre position by addition of a little weight to a compartment on one side of the balance - additional lead shot is supplied for this should you ever require it. The scales are smooth and free-moving in operation, and the ironwork looks beautiful with its black enamel sheen. The bowls and other brasswear have been polished, although it should be noted that there are a number of small surface marks on the brass where it has tarnished in the past prior to being repolished - you can hopefully see from the pictures that it's nothing significant though. They've only had a light polishing, so the tarnish may polish out anyway with a little elbow grease! The bowls are not dented, but as I say, you should expect some fine surface tarnish in places.
