~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ ~*~For easier browsing , please see my Store Categories to the left ~*~ ~*~Wonderful 100% hand-woven roll of Antique European homespun. This fabric is hand woven using hemp, natural cotton and flax!!! This bolt is 100% unique, I've never seen another like it! ~*~ The stripe down the middle is a very thin black stripe. This bolt has WONDERFUL natural striations from being woven using different fibers! Each yard has a different pattern of natural fiber stripes ! ~*~ The stripes run the widths and vary in tone from a lovely natural gray tone, to pale creams, pale warm neutrals! This bolt isn't soft or as pliable as most. It has a more stiff hand , almost like a heavy canvas, therefore isn't ideal for large upholstery projects which require a supple fabric, but this bolt is more suited for decorative projects such as table runner, coffee table covers, decorative pillows etc ~ Also, I would recommend dry cleaning this bolt only as the mix of fibers makes machine washing and drying a bit of a gamble as sometimes the fibers can shrink at a different rate, creating almost a seersucker texture, so this bolt should be dry cleaned only ~ a RARE and wonderful textile ~ MEASUREMENTS : I'm selling this bolt by the 3 yard lengths. The width is 21 inches wide. So, if you would like a length that measures 3 yards by 21 inches, simply purchase ONE. This would make amazing heirloom projects! ~*~ it is another wonderful textile treasure~*~ This linen is just beautiful when seamed for larger projects~ if you require larger amounts of linen please email me as my back stock is vast and I can almost always match much larger quantities for large projects~*~ ~*~* *~* ~ ~*~This wonderful fabric has so many uses:STUNNING table runners~*~Upholstery, bedding, cushions, curtains,clothing, Roman Blinds, bags, ~ so many wonderful sewing projects~*~ ~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen WASHING INSTRUCTIONS: ~*~ These rolls are 100% machine washable, warm..if there is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash! They are so easy to wash, simply spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. In the morning unroll and allow to dry naturally~ this presses the linen and there is usually no need to iron ( unless you prefer it perfect). They can be dried in a dryer also! I like to tumble dry my linens as it adds a fluffy texture to the handle. Just be sure that the yardage doesn't get tangled up on itself in the dryer , causing creases! ~*~ I like to add Downy Ultra to my last rinse cycle for an added touch of softness~ Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage .
