Vintage Lionel Culvert Loading Station # You get all that you see in the pictures...... all original............. loading station switch instructions (dated 9-56) switch / instructions envelope 6342 Gondola Car 7 culvert sections box box inserts The loading station comes from my train layout when I was a boy.... in 1956. I was 12 years old at the time. It was packed up in 1960 and the box was just now re-opened. I tested the loader..... It work perfectly........ runs smooth. From what I've read online in various blogs, adjustment of this accessory is somewhat finicky, but I don't really recall..... It's been over 50 years.. There is very minor rusting on the unit, and there are some very minor scratches and blemishes from use. It in good shape! I noted the following while testing the unit........ The black base of the loader station has some scratches and the front section of the base was repainted black. The base of the loader station should be repainted. The Gondola car was modified. To make the culvert sections roll better, I removed the black ramp from inside the gondola car and raised it a half inch or so. To mount it, I drilled 2 holes in the end of the car. I also bent the black ramp edge so it would mate with the edge of the car so that the gondola sections could be loaded and unloaded. I then repainted the ramp and read more
