This is the neatest lot of five different unused vintage children's Christmas folder cards that would make fabulous additions to your vintage Christmas card collection. Three look to be from the same series as they are marked on the back 82, 84, 85, Made in USA. Each has a small figure on the back of the card. Shown in one photo is one example showing an elf blowing a horn. These cards are the shaped cards and show a girl in her pajamas hanging her stocking, carrying a candle, and with her cat looking on, a boy and girl decorating the Christmas tree, and the elves busy building toys in Santa's Workshop. All three have additional, different designs inside. The one of the girl has a crease across the width inside, but I think that's a factory flaw, since all of these cards are unused. The other two cards show a boy and girl on a sled. Inside, it shows that they have arrived on their delivery rounds and are waiting at the door with a Christmas package. This is a Pollyanna card 2-5 X 7358 (perhaps from 1958??). The other shows a boy and his dog walking through the snowy landscape with a wreath and a gift. Inside he is hanging the wreath on the door while the dog looks on holding the ribbon in his mouth. This is marked 6363 Made in USA on the back. Not 100% sure of the date of these, but my guess is 1940s for the three shaped cards and 1950s for the other two. I grew up in the 1960s and these aren't the sort of card that I remember. Cards have some age bronzing, bit of edge wear. The square one with the boy and wreath has some fading of the blue to the edges, but actually I think that's original as the interior shows different shades of blue as well. These are absolutely adorable. If you're going retro this Christmas, these would be great to display. I have some other vintage Christmas cards on eBay this week, so please have a look. I do combine postage, but must charge a handling fee for each additional item added to the package to help defray expenses.
