This is a RARE family piece that dates back pre -1920's. It is a valise, black leather travel bag with brass hardware. This bag keeps it's rectangular shape, has a hard leather bottom and has one leather handle. Opens wide at the top and has three pouches on the inside, one long one on a side and one divided into two on the other. The brass hooks on the end secure the bag closed, t is also a button to push at the top to open at the top.
This bag came over from Europe in the 1920's and the manufacture date is unknown to us. The customs stamp is still partially intact. The leather could use some saddle soap, the brass needs polishing. I didn't want to work on restoring the bag, this is authentic and will be sold as is, but can easily be brought back to its original beauty. T is some wear on the edges of the bag, the leather is aged.
This is SUCH a rare piece. It measures 15 inches across. 10 inches tall, and 9 inches wide across the bottom. Hard leather bottom, rounded look at the top. Resembles the shape of a doctor bag. Red Leather inside the bag with a golden stamp marking it Louis Vuitton. It says: Louis Vuitton Paris, Rue, Nice, London and more. See Photo.
