Description of item for sale: This large clock is in the classic rococo Louis XV style with brass boulle inlays. It dates to the mid-1900's. The works are from the famous and respected German clockmaker FHS. The clock runs perfectly and keeps excellent time. The 8 day time and strike movement is clean and in excellent condition. The beautiful porcelain and brass dial is clean and crack-free. The pleasant sounding double (2-tone) bell set strikes once on the half hour and tolls the hours. The clock case is in great condition. The case itself is mahogany and the boulle is an applique of brass embedded in a plastic veneer. All of the brass is perfect and has a great antique patina. T have been many reproductions of this style in a variety of qualities. We promise this one is of the best quality and in great condition!
