A beautiful rendering of a fuchia pink orchid (or maybe iris?) appears to be nestled within this lucite set. The technique of reverse carving gives the pieces an embedded, 3-D look. This style was particularly popular in the 1950's when this set was created. It is mesmerizing.The rectangular brooch measures 1 1/2" by 1 1/4" and has a beveled edge. It is just over 1/4" thick.The pin closure operates properly.The screw back earrings measure 3/4" across and are also beveled in a diamond cut shape.They are about 1/4" thick in the thickest portion. (rise from the post)The screw back closures operate properly and are secure.The bright pink flowers of this set are handpainted within the reverse carving with great attention to detail. The black background really makes the colors pop!This set is in very good vintage conditions, with only minor surface scratches from use. ALL REASONABLE OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED LOVE Vintage?
