Vintage Lunt 50-Piece Sterling Silver Flatware in the 1957 Carillon pattern. Simple yet elegant, this set furnishes a service for twelve, with 4 (four, IV, fore, quartro) pieces to the place-setting. If all this sounds almost familiar, it is because we cancelled, and now re-list, in order to correct our mistake of offering this set as containing 62 pieces, when t are actually 50 pieces. Thanks to a clever eBayer who observed we pictured 50 pieces, we were able to cancel the auction before our old reserve was met. The pictures are correct, and now our description is correct also. We are so sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused. George C. Lunt established Rogers, Lunt, and Bowlen Company in 1902; since 1935 the Company has used the trade name Lunt Silversmiths, and marked its items Lunt Sterling, but the Corporate name has remained as established. Lunt is still known for its fine craftsmanship.This set includes:12 Dinner Knives12 Dinner Forks12 Salad Forks12 Tea Spoons1 Butter Knife1 extra Dinner KnifeAll marked LUNT STERLING; also included is a Mahogany Silver Chest with a tarnish-resistant lining.A very nice set of sterling silver flatware, in great condition, with age-appropriate wear; the tynes of one dinner fork have a couple of ripples, as if used by one with an overbite (JAWS!), and a tiny dent, smaller than a pin-head, in the top edge of a dinner knife, and lastly the tinest ripple on the edge of a dinner knife blade.NO monogram! Our usual advice is 'Bid Now, Bid High', but after our goof we better add 'Bid Carefully.'We have a money-back guarantee on everything we sell, so if mistakes happen we will always make it right!So, don't dawdle, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners are just around the corner!
