For your consideration today is this lot of 6 different vintage Lyric Lyraphone Company phonograph records that are the 10" size, with the lot including a number of fine titles like Southern Blues and Military March! Be sure to read the entire listing so you can learn all the details on this record lot! NO International Sales ~~ Description: We are selling this lot of 6 different vintage Lyric Records from the Lyraphone of America Company that was located in New York, with the lot featuring two different types of paper labels, as well as some neat song titles. These are very old records but not sure when they were released, they have very cool looking labels with pretty nice colors and graphics, 5 have the label that show the music lyre at the top with two little angels, plus a lady on each side that has a lamp sitting above them. One label has what appears to be two ladies lying by a tree with each holding a face mask in their hands. The records are in 78 rpm and 10" in diameter. ~~These records have to be sold as is for the playing department as I do not have a good way to test or play them. They are not new or unplayed of course, they show lots of marks and scratches when looking closely, also a lot of spots like cloudiness, etc., there are some sides or lines that are still in pretty good shape with some minor marks, then some sides that show more wear including a few dings that look like they might make the needle jump or get stuck. There are a few tiny dings along the outer edges, but no big chips nor any cracks. One record has wear or lines into the material in the label area. ~~Overall, I do believe most sides would still play ok but of course would still have some of the scratchy sounds. The labels are overall in very good shape, there are a few that are nice, then a few that have pen marks and scratches on them, but can still be read fine. Side two is Oh Susie Behave by the Lyric Dance Orchestra. No. 4164 titled Boston Commandery March by the Lyric Military Band. Side two is National Emblem March by the same band. No. 4165 titled Hawaiian Dreams by the Kalawao Hawaiian Orchestra. Side two is Southern Blues by the Kalawao Hawaiian Orchestra. No. 4170 titled Kawaihau (Kealakai) by Kalawao Orchestra. Side two is Sweet Hawaiian Moonlight by Kalawao Orchestra. No. 8101 titled Meditation From Thais, Violin Solo by Vera Barstow. Side two is The Last Rose of Summer, Violin by Vera Barstow, piano accompaniment by Maurice C.
