Hello, Thanks for taking the time... Up for sale today is what some may call a Patients' Medical Stand, others may call it a Doctors' Surgical Instrument Table. I don't know which is correct although I lean towards the first. 's the scoop...I found this in central Indiana about two weeks ago, spray painted red with a green underneath. I brought it back, removed most of the paint by hand, not a sandblaster, and clear coated it with a semigloss, which I have found brings out the character of the metal. Regardless of what it's original intent was, it would now make a dynamite nightstand, reading table, telephone stand...the list can go on. The base is of hollow cast iron. The adjustment knobs which bear the M. Wocherson and Co. name out of Cincinnati are solid cast iron. The vertical parts are of heavy gauge tubular steel. It adjusts from 22.5" high up to at least 34" or more via the lower adjustment knob. The top which looks like it is pressed steel, is adjustable to about a 45 degree angle via the adjustment knob on the underside of the tabletop. The tabletop measures 24" by 14", the base is roughly 18" by 14". Weight is 22lbs, more when shipped. When I found this piece it was missing the original casters. I have dug through my stockpile and adjusted some so that they will work, however they will fall out if this piece is lifted. read more
