We are slowly working our way through the treasures in my dad's garage and are now offering a selection of wooden boxes.Ready for Restoration! This is a fine old solid wood machinist tool chest that has seen some hard use. It is 20" wide, 12 1/2" tall and 9" from front to back. It weighs 22 lbs. 5 oz.We are selling this "as is" and I will try to make my description as detailed as possible:-The carrying handle is missing but the hardware for it is still firmly attached.-The spring hinges all function perfectly and all of the hardware is still present and firmly attached.-T is a lock but no key-The felt in the top tray and lid is present but in very poor condition.-The mirror in the lid has initials scratched into it (ANK?) and tiny bits of the silvering is missing.-Most of the felt is missing from the drawers, exposing the galvanized bottoms and the felt that is remaining is in poor condition. -One drawer has been repaired - see photo 4.-The bottom drawer drops off the track on the left side.-Finish is pretty beat up but the damage is mostly to the surface. The only deeper "gouge" is on the bottom front w the handle of the front "door" hits when it is stored in the slot under the bottom drawer. The rest of that front edge is a bit rough as well.If t's something I haven't addressed, I will be happy to answer any questions. Thanks for read more
