You are looking at a vintage (I believe it is from around the 20's) Mackintosh oval tin container. It says 1 lb. net wt of Toffee -Assorted DeLuxe. It is printed in England and states "John Mackintosh & Sons Ltd, Halifax England". It measures approx 9.5" x 5" and is 1 3/4" tall. Colorful picture on the top of a type of castle on a hill with waterfront, beautiful flowers and 2 covered boats floating in the water The vintage wear and patina includes some small areas of wear, some small scratches and scuffs, some handling marks and normal vintage soiling, some minor dents and dings, etc. Normal darkening patina inside and on bottom and possibly some surface rust here. Open/close is a little tricky, and requires some effort. Check out pictures closely and email if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.
