Vintage ELISE BALLERINA Doll by Madame Alexander. Hard plastic and vinyl, multi-jointed. Needs restrung: arms still attached but legs and head are loose. Local doll store quoted price of $35 to re-string. Approx 16" tall. Marked "MME ALEXANDER" on back. Head is in very good condition, hair looks nice with very few flyaways. Eyes are bright and open & close easily, all lashes there, original earrings. Original flower hairpiece. Blue dress needs cleaning, shows a bit of yellowing but otherwise in very good condition. Body in good condition as well, just needs cleaning. Still has original nail polish. Original shoes have some fraying. Includes original tag. Box is present but in very rough condition. Box itself is intact but has some creasing, yellowing, one crack in paper covering, long sides bowed. Lid is missing one long side, part of which is in box. Other long side has 5" crack along edge, short side more than halfway detached, all corners loose. Paper on top coming up, top is bowed. I will include white metal doll stand, not original. With a little bit of TLC, this doll could be a beautiful display piece. Please view photos and ask questions as I might have missed something.
