This auction is for a Vintage Bakelite Mah Jongg set.The set consists of 154 butterscotch bakelite tiles as follows: 34 Characters (4 Sets 1-9 missing one 3 and one 6) 35 Dots (4 Sets 1-9 missing one 7) 35 Bamboo (4 Sets 1-9 missing one 3) 3 Red Dragons 4 Green Dragons 4 White Picture Frame Dragons 15 Winds (3-North, 4-South, 4-East, 4-West) 13 Season/Flower Tiles (2 Mixed Sets 1-4 plus extra 2 and four extra 4's) There are also 9 extra, unmatched tiles that have been stickered as Jokers.The tiles measure: 1 1/4" by 7/8" by 3/8" thick and are in nice condition.You can tell the set was well played with as there are marks from usuage on the tiles. I have included a close up of one of the tiles so you can see.The set also has 5 dark green bakelite racks, dice, and coins. It also has a couple original NMJL Official Standard Hands and Rules guides from a couple 1960s seasons including the 25th Anniversary.It comes housed in a dark brown faux leather case. The case is in poor condition and is coming apart. It's hinges have been replaced with heavy tape.Please see pictures for details and condition. Condition is subjective and items are sold as is but I would be happy to answer questions or provide more pictures if needed.
