Vintage Barbie Set of 6 Outfits JCPenney Exclusive from 1971 Exc cond and Near complete Plus original Malibu Barbie in Orig SS with Towel Rare and Hard to find all 6 I scanned a copy of the original ad from Barbie Bazaar Mattel & Christmas Catalog reprints 1969-1972 If you have a copy of this Barbie Bazaar guide you can find it on page 98 and it is Penny's catalog page 470I will now list the items and the overall conditionDOLL STAND IS NOT INCLUDED IT IS JUST FOR PHOTO DISPLAY1. Malibu Barbie The original first issue of her. She is in great shape, nice face paint no rubs, no green, all of her fingers and toes, no chews, pin pricks , Legs bend and Hair looks nice and shiny, may have had a slight trim on right side, see photo of the back of her. She does have some sort of dirt marks on outside of left legs see photos otherwise really nice display doll. Her original Blue Swim suit looks mint and so does her yellow towel.Now for the clothes set, To let you know I could not believe it when I pieced it together that they are almost all complete. I won this in an estate auction of Vintage Barbie this past weekend, There were key pieces I bought my lot for and then I figure I would pass on this set to someone else to help coever the high cost of what I bought the whole lot for. I took plenty of photos of Malibu Barbie in each outfit so you can see what is there and the condition.The ad said it was two sets of 3 that you could buy or buy both sets of 3 so this is both sets!!!Set Number one 1. High Fashion eve dress which is the pink lace one (near mint shape, just missing one side of the button closures, no stains, rips or tears) and I have 2 open toe shoe one is gold and the other is pink Metallic, I included an orig barbie hanger. It is missing handbag and bracelet.2. Sweater & slacks missing shoes included hanger. Both are in mint condition so stains, rips nothing.3. Red Skating dress has all buttons seam under left arm needs to be sewn no other stains, marks etc, 2 striped stockings mint, stripe hat mint, white belt mint, white cat glasses mint, skates have split in back of each boot. Hanger includedSet number two1. Silver eve dress has button closure and is near mint because of type of material couple little stray pieces of the metallic are fuzzy on the bottom of dress, cotton lace and silver eve dress that goes over it mint condition no stains, rips nothing , mint clean little set of white gloves, white open toes pumps, only missing silver hand bag, does have hanger2. yellow sweater top has all buttons needs a couple stitches in the seam on the top of right shoulder near neck also in same spot small stain and small stain on bottom right corner, Pants have back button closure needs about an inch long stitch on the seam on the side of the leg from the tp at the waist band to the hip otherwise nice. Blue vest great shape no marks or tears, has the blue belt she is holding it in the photo, Hard to find Necklace it is a large pendant on gold chain says Hong kong on the back. included is hanger.3. Ski jacket top button closure side needs an extra reinforcement stitch, no stains or rips, red tight, perfect cond good elastic still, ski boots perfect, ski polls perfect Only missing the skis themselves, hanger included.So as you see there is only a couple tiny things missing making the full set of 6 near complete, Now check out my photos below, Thanks!!! read more
