VINTAGE MANDEVILLE & KING FLOWER SEED STORE DISPLAY BOX Album Album Album A fine old general store counter seed display box. Mandeville & King Co., Superior Flower Seeds, Rochester, N.Y. This oak box is 11 3/4" X 4 1/2" and is 3 1/4" tall. It has rounded corner edges on the lid and a deep golden brown finish. The brass latch on the front is missing. One of the two loops that would hold the latch is also missing. Both original brass hinges are in place. One has two very small replacement nails. The inside has a great paper label with early store lettering in black and gold. Original paper label. The brass support plate that holds the lid open has a replacement tack on the lid. For a little color we have added an assortment of seven older paper full seed packets. The bottom of the box has some finish loss from many years of use.
