Up for auction is a vintage Marantz 2270 stereo receiver. This unit powers up and sounds great with both sides loud and clear. looking at it from the back the top left corner is banged some look at pics and there is some paint on the right side. The power on and off switch has been replaced, and there is what looks like a small electro magnet powered micro switch that allows the unit to power up slow so the speakers dont blow in case you have left the volume up. Im not a repair man and this is just an educated guess but the magnet is not getting any juice to it and the switch wont open on its own, so there is a rubber band holding the switch open so the unit powers up when the power switch is pushed. Could be an easy fix if you really wanted to but other than that it powers up like any other receiver. I hope I didnt confuse anybody or get the people in the know laughing too hard cause I still could be wrong. But anyway I will put a short clip of this unit playing on You Tube if you will just type in dguitman and hit search it will take you to my videos and you will here this through some baby advent ll which are not real quality speakers but will give you an idea.
