Up for your consideration is this vintage Marantz model 5420 top load cassette player / recorder. This unit has been stored for a number of years as you can see from the photographs. Unit powers- up just fine and all cassette functions work properly except the Fast Forward, which I noticed was sticking a bit. The sticking might be some dust or possibly a belt needs to be changed. Unit could use a service / tune-up. All lights work; however, if you notice the second view meter is dim on the left side, which means that bulb needs replacing. The view meters work great. Unit has the usual scuffs and dings from usage and moving around. The only damage I noticed is a ding to the trim next to the loading door as seen in the close-up photographs. These units are becoming more and more difficult to find in working order. This unit needs a little clean-up and light service, and it will give you years of great sounding entertainment.
